The Brown Studio, Inc. – Interiors Production Lead, San Diego

THE BROWN STUDIO, INC. is an architectural and interior Design + Build firm based in San Diego California. Our hand crafted approach to design and construction is focused by the exploration of building and material technology throughout the entire process, from concept to completion. Our design studio is built within our 5,000 sqft workshop where each project and construction component is carefully considered by the studio’s hand’s-on designers and craftsmen.

The Interiors Production Lead is responsible for collaborating on all aspects of high level residential and commercial projects. Duties include management, design and coordination of projects, meeting with clients, vendors, consultants and contractors on behalf of the company as job requires.

Other responsibilities include; coordinating rep presentation and library updates. Collaborating on building a Revit library of architectural components and details.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Graduate of Architecture or Design school
3 + years of experience
Strong ability with Revit

Omgivning – Interior Designer – Job Captain, DTLA

Omgivning is Swedish for ambiance, setting, and environment. Since its 2009 inception, Omgivning has become a recognized firm in Downtown Los Angeles Architecture and Interior Design. The firm’s wide range of projects includes adaptive reuse multi-family housing, hotels, creative office, neighborhood restaurants/bars, historic theaters and furniture design.

Omgivning has provided Architectural services on over 100 buildings, primarily in Downtown Los Angeles.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual whose interests and passions lie in rejuvenating, restoring and rebuilding DTLA.

Qualifications:

*An architectural degree with 3+ years experience in an architectural or interior design office environment

*Bachelor’s in Architecture or Interior Design

*Proficiency in Revit is required. (Minimum of 6 months in office application)

*Self-motivated with excellent organizational and communication skills

*Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suites, handsketches and computer renderings is a plus

*Experience in both existing and new construction a plus

Responsibilities:

*Support the Project Manager in development of the design and detailing

*Communicate with and coordinate the efforts of project team members, clients, consultants, contractors and agency officials

*Work with the project team to produce presentation materials for client and agency presentations

*Helping with FFE schedules / spec packages

Position Summary

The Design Development Manager at Tarkett National Membership will provide education and lead the development of the company brand awareness through emphasis on architects and designers and selected strategic accounts. Achieve consistent growth and meet territory sales goals in commercial resilient.

Business development responsibility with a focus on the Southern California market. Accounts will be key specified firms and end users. Additional travel will be required for trade shows, training and company meetings. The travel is subject to increase or decrease depending on requirements.

The function and the scope of the responsibility may change from time to time as determined by the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s vision, overall business direction, operating strategies and product portfolio. Effectively present company’s concepts & capabilities using collateral materials and technologies provided.

• Manage overall territory specification plan to include key specifier firms and end user development through the execution of the strategic territory plan created in alignment with regional business plan and goals. Overall account objectives are to educate specifier firm and end user’s on company’s capabilities, to increase awareness of the Tarkett brands resulting in increased specifications and opportunities. Create feedback loop within territory to regularly communicate progress and measure results against objectives and sales goals

• Become a subject matter expert on assigned segment focus in effort to support company’s segment innovation goals through education and research.

• Report segment knowledge within 2 weeks of completion to DDM director for a scheduled segment presentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of specification selling experience

• 3+ years of experience working with A/D and/or end users

• Travel – 30%

• Education – 4 year degree or equivalent experience
