IIDA Inland Empire hosted its 3rd annual NeoConnect Tradeshow on October 3rd, 2017 at the California Education & Performing Arts Center in Ontario. The event was a huge success with 53 participating vendors showcasing products from over 70 manufacturers. We had attendees from 22 local Architect & Design firms, 6 furniture dealerships and 4 schools in addition to many facilities managers and end users.

The atmosphere was very upbeat and attendees were enjoying themselves by networking with local industry professionals and seeing all the new products introduced at NeoCon in Chicago earlier this year. Many designers expressed their appreciation of being able to see these new products in a local setting.

A student hour was held from 4:30-5:30 consisting of a student sample swap with materials donated by local manufacture reps and a panel discussion with 5 local design professionals. IIDA student members were also able to display their work for the many design professionals attending the event. The students work was judged by our panelists and Nikki Trozzi was awarded with $50 gift card for her work.

iida_sd_neoconnect2017__29_500px

The design community is still buzzing after another successful San Diego NeoConnect show held Tuesday, September 26th for the third year at the Port Pavilion at Broadway Pier. Participation from our exhibitors and attendees reached an all-time record, pushing beyond the 600-person mark, at 620 attendees! The evening was quoted by many as “magical” with a high-energy environment stretching from one end of the venue to the other. As the day turned to evening, a rose-colored sunset captured the crowd’s attention with drinks flowing and phenomenal products offerings by each and every vendor.  The party lasted well into the evening, ending with fireworks that lit up the sky for an epic grand finale.

Get Engaged, Get Educated, Get Inspired

“You must truly enjoy what you are doing. Your heart must be in it. Without enthusiasm you can’t work up to your fullest ability. Enthusiasm brushes off upon those with whom you come in contact.”
-John Wooden

It’s that special time of the year again – we’re on the brink of NeoCon. As everyone begins ramping up for it, we are busy behind the scenes working to bring NeoCon to you. Orange County’s NeoConnect 2013 is set for October 10th at the Hangar in Costa Mesa. It’s my 2nd year being the event chair and as we begin the planning process, my favorite John Wooden quote came to mind. Enthusiasm. What a strong wave of emotion. I believe it is enthusiasm that keeps an organization like IIDA moving forward. Year in and year out, these great events are brought to each city center with one driving force: Enthusiasm. As the event chair, I hope you can feel my enthusiasm oozing through this computer screen! We’re looking forward to another great event this year that will showcase all of the enthusiasm, hard work, and of course the phenomenal products. Keep your eye out for continuous updates on the event and know that you are always welcome to contact me with any questions, comments, or suggestions! Our team is excited and cannot wait to bring our enthusiasm to you.
