What is your favorite iconic chair:
Barcelona Chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. The design of the chair is timeless.

What is your favorite California destination:
Yosemite. I’ve never seen as beautiful night sky as I saw one in Yosemite. I can lie down on the ground and kept staring at the sky all night long.

What is your favorite color:
Yellow is my favorite color even though I don’t wear yellow. I love seeing yellow from sunflowers, frogs, bumblebees and the sun.

What is your go-to outfit:
Eye glasses, Plain T-shirt, Skinny jeans, and Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes.

Where would we find you on the weekend:
I like to eat out. You will find me in some restaurant in Korea Town.

Gold or Silver:
Gold. Gold means power. Gold is the winner.

Beer or Wine:
I like drinking wine when I’m happy.

Beach or Mountains:
Mountains. I love to see the world from up high. It remind me how small I am comparing to this big planet.

Online or Print Magazines:
Online. Save the trees!

Open or Private Offices:
Open offices. I don’t want any wall to block my opportunity to learn from others.

I’m Kanpattana Phewban. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. Thai people typically have long name, so every parents will give a nick name to their children. My professors and my friends know me as Ome Phewban. I’m currently a first-semester-senior studying Interior Design at California State University of Northridge.

Kanpattana Phewban is the winner of the IIDA SoCal 2013 Student Award for Innovation in Interior Design.
