2021-23 Board of Directors Call for Nominations

IIDA Southern California is looking for a few passionate, committed people who would like to be considered for a position on the Chapter’s Board of Directors. The term is July 2021 – June 2023.

If you would like to nominate someone (or yourself), please fill out this form by Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 5pm PT.

Open Positions:

President-Elect

The President-Elect shall serve as the treasurer of the Chapter and as custodian of all monies, securities and deeds belonging to the Chapter; shall hold, invest and disburse same subject to the direction of the Board of Directors; shall cause to be performed a periodic independent audit of the Chapter’s financial affairs; and in general shall perform all duties incident to the office of treasurer of the Chapter. The President-Elect also shall manage the affairs of the Chapter with regard to resource development, and perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors. The duties shall include recommendation and supervision of appropriate teams to formulate programs and recommend policies relating to those issues.

VP Professional Development

The Vice President of Professional Development shall be responsible for development of member professional education programs. These duties shall include recommendation and supervision of appropriate teams to formulate programs and recommend policies relating to those issues. The Vice President of Professional Development shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or Chapter Board of Directors.

VP City Centers (Orange County or San Diego-based preferred)

The VP of City Centers is responsible for overseeing the City Center(s), including supervising the budgeting and operation of all City Center Committees and events. Represents the Chapter with leadership, organization, operations and programs within the City Center. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and supervise appropriate committees to form programs and recommend policies relating to those issues.
  • Encourage membership growth and inspiration from City Center events
  • Encourage City Center and Campus Center collaboration
  • Review the annual budget requests for assigned City Center Directors.
  • Serves as spokesperson/liaison for all City Centers.
  • Ensure City Centers coordinate in a timely manner event package
  • Mentors City Center Directors professionally
