About the Opportunity

At Blitz, Senior Interior Designers lead design projects, inspire their talented teammates, and challenge our awesome clients to reach for excellent design. The ideal candidate will bring Blitz’s core design values to each project, combining creative vision with disciplined project delivery. This position demands a quick-thinking design leader conversant in space planning and furniture and material specification, with stellar technical skills and dogged persistence. Senior Interior Designers nurture their clients, play well with contractors and consultants, manage deadlines like a boss, and rock their job hard. At Blitz, we uphold the highest standards of project delivery and professionalism, and the Senior Interior Designer will lead by example.

This is a full-time position with benefits. Compensation is based on ability and experience. In addition to workplace interiors, our commercial interiors work includes bio-tech, higher education, international hospitality, and developer-led adaptive re-use. We are looking to expand our team of technical design leaders to support this work. We love the power of a great idea and are looking for “builders” not joiners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years professional experience working at an interior design or architecture studio.
• Accredited degree in interior design or architecture.
• Expert knowledge and professional experience with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with programming, space planning, and materials selection.
• Experience in construction documentation, detailing, and FF&E specifications.
• Knowledge of the California Building Code.
• NCIDQ, LEED, or WELL certifications a plus.
• Experience with commercial interiors required; experience with hospitality / retail a strong plus.
• Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within an open, collaborative team environment.
• Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

The Blitz team works hard but we make sure we take time to have fun and keep learning.
