IIDA Los Angeles City Center – 2021 Emerging Leaders Program

In alignment with IIDA’s mission to advance the profession and provide meaningful resources to commercial interior designers and architects, your Southern California chapter has started an Emerging Leaders Program. Last year, the San Diego City Center kicked off the program with great success. This year, we have extended the program to Los Angeles and look to provide the same rewarding experience.

The Emerging Leaders (EL) program consists of 16 emerging designers in Los Angeles accepted through their firm nomination. The goal of the program is to provide topic specific, intensive workshops geared towards design professionals who are growing from ‘task oriented’ roles to ‘leadership’ roles in their firms and the industry. The program also aims to provide a platform for professional and social networking among the participants.

Comprised of monthly 1 ½ hour workshops over the course of the year, examples of workshop topics include leadership principles, business development, presentation/storytelling & business operations. At this time, the program is virtual but still designed for EL’s to have an opportunity to connect, share and learn from each other.

We are thrilled to welcome our inaugural cohort of design professionals representing 16 of Los Angeles’ most respected architectural firms. This year will bring great opportunities in networking, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration.
