IIDA So Cal Community Outreach Event in Collaboration with ArtReach

IIDA SoCal Community participated in an outreach event at the San Diego Rescue Mission (SDRM) led by ArtReach.

ArtReach led a group of IIDA SoCal & SDRM volunteers in the painting of a 75 foot long mural along the rooftop playground and common area at the San Diego Rescue Mission. It was designed by the talented muralist Ian Stiles-Mikl.

The mural’s nature theme reflects safety, peace, transition, faith, resilience, community and the overcoming of hardships. The night to day theme symbolizes that there are always brighter days ahead, no matter how dark the night feels. SDRM residents and staff have been overjoyed and uplifted by the mural results!
