Inland Empire’s Taco Tuesday and CEU Event
IIDA Inland Empire members and non-members enjoyed Taco Tuesday on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. HMC Architects in Ontario graciously hosted the chapter with over 65 attendees enjoying tacos and margaritas prior to a member meeting and CEU.
The member meeting called for volunteers to our upcoming DesignConnect (formerly known as Neoconnect) coming up in October 2018, and a professional and student membership were raffled off.
The CEU, presented by Jarami Bond, Sustainability Manager at Interface, focused on the topic of Biophilic Design. Biophilic Design is “Great design that recognizes and embraces how humans are biological creatures with deeply rooted biological needs.” The CEU emphasized the impact that biophilic design has on economic, wellbeing and health benefits to the built environment.
Thank you to HMC Architects for hosting IIDA Inland Empire at their great facility, thanks to GI, Inc and Quality Office Furnishings for the Tacos and Interface, TriWest and Epic Contract for sponsoring the beverages and “Epic” Margaritas.
