Job Opportunity—Interior Designer
DESIGNER (Interiors)
Reports to:
Department Director/Principal or Studio Manager
Takes Direction from:
Senior Project Designer, Project Designer, or Project Manager.
Education:
Preferred Technical College Degree/Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an accredited interiors architectural related program.
Experience:
Preferred minimum of 3-5 years of experience with the use of AutoCAD in relation to interiors architectural type of work.
Qualifications:
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
> AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel experience is preferred.
> Ability to create complete presentation package is essential.
> Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills:
Proficiency in Deltek Vision highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in Newforma preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop.
Proficiency in Revit is preferred.
Proficiency in of Adobe Suite and Sketch up graphic software.
Knowledge of 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Lumion preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide AutoCAD and Revit support for the preparation of project documents.
Assist the Project Designer with project coordination as it relates to design concepts for construction services.
Support and assist in the development of space planning concepts and creation of program documents
Coordinate finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction with project team.
Partner with Intermediate and Senior Designers in meetings with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
Provide assistance for submittals for jurisdiction agencies.
Assist with the preparation of Field Verifications, BOMA calculations, as well as general AutoCAD support as each project requires.
Communicate with clients, contractors, consultants, and Ware Malcomb employees.
