IIDA SoCal – Vice President of Outreach and Philanthropy

The IIDA Southern California Chapter VPs of Outreach and Philanthropy will support efforts relating to Chapter Community outreach and coordination with other Philanthropic groups. This role includes establishing a committee, developing and managing budgets, finding organizations that align with the Chapter mission to partner with, coordinating events, and working with volunteers. As liaison between the role and the board, they would provide updates to the board and present opportunities for approval for the type of organizations and events that the Chapter will partner with.

The VPs will coordinate with other chapters and HQ in the growth and direction of this sector.

VP of Outreach and Philanthropy acts as the liaison between and the executive board, HQ and assist in connecting with other VP Counterpart on the executive board. VP of Outreach and Philanthropy is here to help processes and procedures, convey goals and directives to the board and all of the VP’s while finding ways to work together in support of the organizations that we might work with.

Your Key Responsibilities as VP/ Director (3-5):

• Establish mission, vision for this new sector working with three Presidents
• Research and find organizations to partner with
• Research other chapters and HQ to find reference for type of groups to partner with
• Establish a outline/plan for potential overall direction of sector
• Establish a budget for the sector
• Establish a one and two year plan on what and how this role will function – ie – donate
• money, partner for volunteers, host events etc
• Provide first approval and feedback on suggested partners

Key Responsibilities of City Center chair or local counterpart (City Center Director)

• Hold meetings as required with committee/volunteers
• Support major events with process and procedure
• Manage budget and schedule
• Assign roles and responsibilities to committee/volunteers
