Wirt Design Group Inc. – Project Designer, Los Angeles

Wirt Design Group is looking for a Project Designer to join our Downtown Los Angeles studio.

The Project Designer is responsible for the design from initial programming through project completion, manage client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance for each assigned project. Under the supervision of the Design Principal, the Project Designer will work closely with the Project Manager(s) and design team to develop the firm’s conceptual design and interior architecture within the context of WDG’s contracted responsibility. The Project Designer will work closely with the Design Principal/ Project Manager/Project Lead in developing the design workplan and providing supervision of the project work, in the production of design materials and will coordinate with the Design Principal/ Project Manager/Project Lead the scheduling and delegation of the design workload. The Project Designer will be required to lead projects and direct other staff members and designers in the role. 

Requirements for this position are that the candidate hold an architecture or interior design degree from an accredited college or be working toward certification (AIA, NCIDQ or CID). The candidate must have a minimum of eight- ten (8-10) years of workplace interior architecture experience and demonstrate technical proficiency in production and coordination of documents in all phases of the commercial interior design practice. Skilled in: AutoCad, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, Photoshop and hand sketching. Knowledge of Ajera and Newforma is beneficial. Concise verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
