The ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE assumes complete ownership for managing all aspects of assigned accounts and acquiring new interior design and furniture procurement opportunities. The candidate will build relationships and interface with internal and external personnel to ensure client requirements are defined, and act as a liaison between the client and team members to provide comprehensive design and product solutions to ensure complete client satisfaction. The Account Executive will strategize and execute a proposal through client contact and develop an understanding of client requirements ensuring client needs are assembled and presented.

This position must promote and maintain outstanding communication and service levels to all customers, seeking to continuously improve the sales and design process. The Account Executive must possess the ability think strategically, analytically, critically, and creatively, to solve problems within an established scope of work, budget, aesthetic, and schedule. The candidate requires excellent negotiating and intrapersonal skills to work effectively with the project team to foster and maintain positive working relationships. The candidate must be a highly organized, motivated, and adaptable professional with a proven aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully, with many tight deadlines. Knowledge of architecture, construction, and interior design is strongly preferred, along with the ability to read, navigate, and understand construction documents, furniture plans, and layouts.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Marketing, Business or related field, and sales or contract furniture experience is preferred. The Account Executive will support POI and our clients by leveraging their professional knowledge to help us build environments people want to be in.
