Volunteers Needed for Painting Day at Para Los Ninos

We are partnering with Project Color Corps, a volunteer nonprofit organization out of the Bay Area dedicated to creating change by painting inner city neighborhoods, to paint a mural on an exterior wall at Para Los Ninos School – a primary school in Central LA.

IIDA affiliated designers in Los Angeles have created a beautiful, art-filled mural that will be painted on one of the exterior walls in the main walkway at the charter school. This mural will have (2) color options, “cool brave” and “hopeful love.” During an assembly held on August 21st, the committee will be presenting each option to the students who will then vote on their favorite. Then, a muralist will professionally paint the winning option over 5 days. On Saturday September 6th we are asking volunteers to help paint the flooring pattern that will complete the final design.

We need YOU. If you would like to volunteer for painting day on the afternoon of September 6th to help complete the final touches of the mural for the students, please RSVP here.

We are accepting the first 25 volunteers and spots are filling up quickly. Each participant must bring a paintbrush and/or roller, dress in appropriate attire and will be filling out a waiver in order to participate. We look forward to your help and cannot wait to brighten and inspire children in our own community!
