2013 IIDA Member of the Year is from SoCal!

Hilary Luckenbaugh, Affiliate IIDA, Environmental Contracting Corporation

We could not be more proud! What an honor for Hilary Luckenbaugh and for our Chapter. Hilary Luckenbaugh, Affiliate IIDA, will be honored this year at the annual IIDA meeting, Sunday, June 9th just before our industry’s biggest event of the year – NeoCon. She has raised the bar on dedication to our industry, to our Chapter, and to the design community at-large. Hilary epitomizes professionalism.

She is synonymous with IIDA. She has enthusiastically spearheaded the Calibre Awards for many years – this year the awards celebrates 25 years! She is a two-time recipient of the Chapter Board Member of the Year, and has been more than dedicated to our Chapter’s Sponsorship program which gives nearly $25,000 each year to students from around our Chapter. With years of knowledge of the Chapter and its evolution, her stories are rich, entertaining but most of all informative. Her leadership qualities make her one of the most effective mentors to our new members, board members and committee volunteers.

As Chris Coldoff, Immediate Past-President stated, “Gregarious and sharp of wit, always with time to offer words of guidance, Hilary is fondly referred to by many as the ‘grand dame’ of the Southern California Chapter. She is the face of IIDA to her peers and industry partners alike. In short, she is the emotional and ethical compass of the Chapter, and there’s no one I’d recommend higher for this honor.”

Hilary, from all of us on the Executive Board, we congratulate and thank you for your dedication and the high standards you have set in our industry today and years to come.

Hilary will be formally presented with the award and celebrated at the IIDA Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. For more information about the IIDA Member of the Year Award, visit www.iida.org.
