2021 Calibre Design Awards – Announcing the Circle of Excellence Nominee

Claire Thompson, IIDA, NCIDQ, CID

Claire is the Founder of The Thompson Collaborative, LLC. The firm’s national and international work is focused on commercial and specialty-focused residential projects which encompass interiors, product design, architectural and landscape concepts. Her firm’s award-winning projects include 3 Calibre Award submissions with 2 award winning projects. Prior to forming The Thompson Collaborative, LLC in 2013, Claire served on the Management Teams at The Rowland Assoc, PHH Walker, Errico Thompson Design, Gensler and Perkins + Will.  Her career has also included teaching post-secondary level design at several universities. She now serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Woodbury University. Outside of design work she is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Organization of Women Executives.

Claire is Past President of the Southern California Chapter of IIDA. Her involvement has included the development of many new events over the years. She has been dedicated to developing the Calibre Awards and founded the Student Fund fund with Aram Arakelian.

Claire’s career long passion has been challenging project teams to deliver the best while mentoring the designer to develop exceptional results.
