2022 IIDA California Legislator of the Year Award

We are excited to announce the 2021 IIDA California Legislator of the Year Award

This past week IIDA Northern California Chapter President Verda Alexander, joined by Advocacy Ambassadors Melanie Harbert, Adam Newton, and Nick Steele met Senator Dave Cortese (D-Silicon Valley) in his District Office to present the Senator with the 2021 IIDA California Legislator of the Year Award! This is the first year that IIDA has recognized a State Legislator for their work and leadership. Senator Cortese, who represents Senate District 15 (San Jose, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga, and other portions of Santa Clara County) was chosen by IIDA to receive this inaugural commendation for his dedicated work in sustainability, environmental resilience, and building decarbonization.
