Creative Space: Your Office Is More Than A Place To Work

The demand for “Creative Office Space” isn’t going away. In fact, demand is spreading from the tech and media –heavy markets of Silicon Valley and West L.A. into Orange County.

Case-in-point is the Fox Head Global Headquarters project in Irvine, CA. Shubin Nadal Associates, the owners of the property located at 16752 Armstrong Avenue, took the vacant, nondescript, shabby industrial building and transformed it into one of the most eye-catching creative office spaces in the market.

Designed by Clive Wilkinson Architects and built by Howard Building Corporation (HBC), this truly amazing project consists of a wide open floor plan with 22’ ceilings and a central interior “Main Street” assembly space surrounded by free standing offices. The lobby contains a Fox Head store for employees and family and built-in bleachers were constructed at the opposite end of the building for town hall-style meetings. A 2nd story mezzanine was added to hold conference rooms, lounges and meeting spaces while the ground floor contains a staff library, a showroom for buyers, and open meeting and kitchen space.

The creative office project was such a success that it recently received a SPIRE Award for best example of “Tenant Improvements/Renovations”. The SPIRE Awards are hosted by Commercial Real Estate Women Orange County (CREW-OC), and are the only commercial real estate awards program in Orange County.

Sam Farhang, then Senior Designer at Clive Wilkinson Architects stated, “It was a very collaborative project, bringing together a great team from Fox Head, Shubin Nadal, Travers Realty and HBC. The diversity of the team allowed for creative solutions to flourish.”
