Q: What is DESIGNWALK?
A: DESIGNWALK is a new event brought to you by the IIDA Los Angeles City Center. Taking inspiration from NeoCon 2017, this event will showcase the latest in design and product innovation. It will take place at several locations throughout Downtown LA, with each location showcasing several participating companies. DESIGNWALK is a self-guided walking tour, kicking off with a Launch Party at Gensler and finishing with a Wrap Party at IOS.
Q: What are the benefits of attending DESIGNWALK?
A: DESIGNWALK aims to bring the experience of NeoCon 2017 to Los Angeles in a fresh and creative way. If you didn’t have the opportunity to go to NeoCon, this will be a great opportunity to keep yourself updated on the latest innovations from our industry leaders. If you did make it to NeoCon, this will be a great way for you to reconnect with your industry peers and get a refresh on new product that has hit the market since NeoCon 2017.
Q: What is the cost to attend?
A: The cost to attend DESIGNWALK is as follows:
$10 for IIDA Members
$15 for non-members
$5 for students (student ID required)
Tickets will be available at the door, or can be purchased in advance through the link below.
Q: Should I invite my clients?
A: Yes! This is a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with your clients on what is new and fresh in our Industry.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Bring your industry friends, co-workers, and colleagues- this is going to be a fun event! You do not need to bring anything else, just business cards if you plan to network. Food and beverages will be served at the Launch and Wrap Parties as well as at the various host locations.
Q: Where are the host-locations?
A: We are still accepting registration through February 1st. After that, a list of host locations as well as a map will be made available.
SPONSORSHIP / HOST LOCATION FAQ
Q: What are the fees to participate as a tour-stop?
A: The fee to participate as a stop on the tour is $250. In addition to this cost, please plan on splitting additional cost of refreshments, etc. with your co-hosts. For example: at a site hosting 5 vendors, each vendor may choose to contribute $100 towards beverages and snacks, giving that site a total of $500 for the group.

Q: What is the expectation of a tour-stop participant?
A: Each participant should bring the latest in design and innovation from your company. All participating companies at one location should expect to work together to create an elevated and cohesive experience for the attendees. There will be a special award for “Best Experience” so don’t hold back on creativity and flow!
Q: I am interested in participating as a tour-stop, but I don’t have a Downtown LA location. Can I still get involved?
A: There are several “host-locations” downtown, including firms and showrooms, that are willing to collaborate with other companies. If you want to participate, but do not have a contact at a location please reach out to the LA City Center Sponsorship Chair, Sheila Shenasi, at [email protected] for additional information.
