Early Bird Calibre Award Submission Pricing is Officially Closed!
But not to fear, the regular priced submission period is open for just over two more weeks!
The first project submission is $350. Any additional project submissions are $275.
The deadline for ALL submissions is 5:00 PM Pacific on January 21st, 2022. To submit your project, click here.
This year’s categories include:
Work Extra-Large – 75,000 + sq. ft.
Work Large – 35,000 – 74,999 sq. ft.
Work Medium – 10,000 – 34,999 sq. ft.
Work Small – under 10,000 sq. ft.
Public & Community Spaces – Government, institutional, transportation, worship and museum galleries
Education – Elementary/secondary educational facilities, colleges/universities
Healthcare – Hospitals, laboratories, long term care facilities, and MOBs, mental health, and therapy
Hospitality – Hotel public spaces, point-of-sale retail, restaurants, country clubs, gyms, spas, fitness
*New!* Multi-Family Housing – With the influx of high density housing in the urban environments that make up Southern California, we have created an opportunity to celebrate these projects. Submissions may include lobbies, communal lounges and kitchens, screening rooms, or any other shared amenity space within the building. Project to have been completed by December 31, 2021.
IIDA Southern California is looking for artists in our interior design community, especially IIDA members, to be featured during the 2021 Calibre Awards.
Please send a link to your/their work, either on social media, or an online portfolio. Must have examples of time lapse drawings or paintings, similar to this video. Sign up here by February 18th!
If selected as a Calibre artist:
- A Calibre Award Winning Project will be assigned to you (you will be required to sign an NDA to maintain confidentiality of the award winner/project team).
- You will have four weeks to complete a drawing or painting of the project (original copy) and a time lapse process video (filmed in horizontal mode, 30 seconds max length, 1080p quality)
- The completed artwork must be a non-abstract rendition of one of the Winning Project’s submitted interior photographs.
