Get Involved in LA's Haunt Couture!

It’s almost that time of year again – Haunt Couture time –  and we are looking to fill a few more committee seats ASAP!  Haunt Couture, IIDA LA’s own Fashion Show Competition Extravaganza, is by far, the biggest event of the year for the LA City Center. Seeing how it comes together from behind the scenes is exciting, and you’ll definitely make some great friends along the way.  Not to mention the professional recognition you will earn from your industry peers who attend the event.

This year we have an Executive Committee, consisting of two co-chairs, myself (Michelle Marotta of Wirt Design), and Sean Kim of GKK Works.  Six other fabulous leaders have been gearing up with us for the last few months: Kelsey Myatt of Laminart, Kathleen Selke of Knoll, Tiffany Fairbrother, formerly of Systems Source, Jolene Kraus of HBF, Marcy Nelson of Knoll, and Allyson Welch of Systems Source.

The Executive committee will be leading and delegating assignments to the general committee members. We have a team of six general committee members so far, and we’re looking for about six more to join our team. Think you’d like to join in on the fun? Read on!

The volunteer positions we are currently looking to fill are:

• Co-Chairs Assistant
• Graphic Design for Marketing Materials (one of two spots left!)
• Budget Assistant
• Production Assistant
• Production Graphics  (2 spots!)

Quick FAQ’s:

Q:  How much time would I be required to dedicate per week?
A:  About a few hours per week of your own personal time.

Q: What will be expected of me?
A:  If you’re interested in any of these positions, please contact Michelle Marotta, and she’d be happy to go over the responsibilities with you!

Q: Any important dates to be aware of?
A:  Yes!  The date of the event: Wednesday, October 30, 2013, as well as Wednesday evenings (our bi-weekly meeting days).

Q:  Will I get a free ticket to the event to give to a friend?
A: Yes!  You will be given on free ticket to give to a friend.  This ticket is meant for a spouse or close friend, and not for a client or co-worker.
