Haunt Couture 2024 Has Begun!

The Reveal and Garment Creation Day for LA’s 2024 Haunt Couture took place on Saturday, September 14th at HGA. This exciting event was made possible by the meticulous planning of our dedicated Haunt Couture Committee Volunteers. A big thank you to our Reveal sponsors, OFS and MillerKnoll, for their generous support in providing breakfast and lunch, ensuring that participants were energized and ready for a day brimming with creativity and inspiration. The Theme: Let’s Play a Game

The day began at 10am with the exciting unveiling of this year’s Haunt Couture theme, “Let’s Play a Game”, inspired by the iconic bingo-style game La Loteria. Teams were given a game card with four symbols and played a quick round to determine their character. With just 15 minutes to brainstorm their garment concept, teams then plunged into a thrilling fabric selection process. Our generous fabric sponsors—including Arc-Com, Autex Acoustics, Carnegie, Concertex, Designtex, Epic Trends, Garrett Leather, HBF, Kvadrat, Luum, Maharam, Momentum, Pallas and Tangram —provided an impressive array of textile cuttings to spark their creativity.

The Game Begins!

After the fabric grab concluded, each team—comprising 5 A+D Firm Members and 1 Sponsor—began the exciting process of constructing their garments. Teams collaborated to design and build their creations with creativity and flair. By 5pm, all outfits were photographed and collected. Teams won’t see their finished garments again until the runway event at Haunt Couture on Thursday, October 24th. Be sure to mark your calendars and get ready for a spectacular evening!
