Applied Medical – Project Coordinator – Interior Design Team, Rancho Santa Margarita

Position Description

As a Project Coordinator in the Applied Medical Interior Design Team, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Assist the Interiors Project Managers in daily tasks from programming to installation of projects
  • Support furniture planning utilizing AutoCAD, SketchUp and 2020 software
  • Research and create specification lists for interior finishes and furniture that align with company standards, including budgetary pricing and availability
  • Help with assembling and adapting documentation of furniture plans and finish materials into graphic presentations or color boards
  • Attend meetings and take meeting notes
  • Field measure interiors of existing buildings
  • Field verify existing furniture and finish materials
  • Work independently and alongside the Interior Design team to meet project requirements and constraints of budget and schedule
  • Coordinate and monitor furniture installations by facilities and vendors 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
  • Prepare furniture bid packages
  • Gain understanding of tenant improvement construction documents
  • Schedule vendor library updates and maintaining library materials
  • Practice and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS) per training
  • Study and comply with safety rules and Company policies.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field
  • At least 2 years of work experience with a degree or 5 years of experience without a degree
  • Effective computer skills, including proficient use of AutoCAD, Adobe, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities to handle a variety of tasks across projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all levels of internal and external customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective team member and collaborator as part of a team
  • Proven systematic methodology to completing tasks
  • Attention to detail to ensure all specifications are met
