Position: Commercial Interior Design Associate

Required Skills/Job Duties:

• Commercial Space Planning: Interior Architectural & Furniture layouts
• Preparation of complete sets of Commercial Construction Documents for submittal to Engineers & Government agencies for permits
• Material & Color Selections-Building & Furniture: Research, Selection & Specifications
• CURRENT California Building Code Knowledge Required
• Job-site Meetings, setting up appointments
• Furniture Specifications

Computer Skills Required: –

Software programs:

• Autocad 2014-16, Strong Skills REQUIRED including construction documentation
• Filemaker Pro (will train)
• Microsoft Word & Excel-
• Sketch-Up (or equivalent) Rendering Program
• 2020 Giza (training available)

Required experience:

• MUST HAVE STRONG COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN EXPERIENCE: 1-5 years minimum. experience, but will consider highly qualified recent graduates from Design Programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Duties Include:

• Must be Detail-Oriented, have a great Color-Sense, and be able to work independently.
• Transportation is required for attending meetings & visiting job sites.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and multi task. 5.
• Meeting with Clients, shopping, library upkeep, Job-site meetings and follow-up. Strong communication skills are necessary.

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with experience and is negotiable. Work is based on available projects and is Full-Time to Part-Time depending on projects underway. Full-Time availability is preferred.
