Grant + Associates is looking for an Outside Sales Representative in the San Marcos area.

Position Description:

  • Grow, foster and nurture key specifier relationships in the San Diego, California, A+D community thus building and maintaining a network of sources to identify opportunities.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
  • Be capable of demonstrating and explain the functions and utility of our products and services to customers, based on their needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise pre or post-sale.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Stay informed and up to date with all our manufacturers, their products, and their policies.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems; provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Travel to company sponsored offsite events, local and away, that are not limited to manufacturer trainings, product showcases and conventions before, during, and after normal operating business hours.
  • Host clients at company sponsored events, both local and away, before, during, and after business hours.
  • Represent our company, our brand, our manufacturer’s, and their products to your fullest capabilities, first and foremost within all business opportunities.
  • Stay trained and up to date on all on company IT protocols including our quotation platform (currently Oasis), how to access our server and shared drives and website.
  • Participate and assist in our online company sponsored social media marketing efforts, across all company platforms.
  • Other projects added at manager’s discretion

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, communications, and/or any equivalent education that demonstrates expertise in customer engagement or sales

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years person to person or B2B sales experience
  • 5+ years in a customer service role
  • CRM experience
  • Ability to be autonomous while working in a team setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (multi-lingual a plus)
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Outlook and Zoom, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Able to travel within the US either by car or flight 75% of the time and occasionally internationally
  • Must have valid documents for travel internationally
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license
