IIDA SoCal – Vice President of Communications
The IIDA Southern California Chapter Vice President of Communications is responsible for public relations and promotion of the local chapter to the members and to the general public. He/She shall serve as the Chapter secretary (or shall appoint a secretary) and shall be the custodian of all Chapter records. The Vice President of Communications shall oversee committees whose responsibilities are to promote communications (newsletter, website, calendar, media PR). He/She shall be responsible for communication with Headquarters for publication and inclusion of information on the International website, and for identifying new venues for elevating IIDA in the public eye. He/She shall coordinate efforts with the Vice President of Membership and the City Center directors. The Vice President of Communications shall perform such other duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time by the President and the Board of Directors.

Prerequisites:
Having previously served as a City Center Director, or as a committee chair at the City Center level, is desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Must work closely with the Chapter Administrator to ensure that accurate and detailed meeting minutes are maintained
during the board meetings and communicated to the board in a timely manner. - Oversees the publication of the Chapter newsletter, in conjunction with the Chapter Administrator and Graphic Designer, when applicable, to communicate activities, events, and important information relating to the City Centers as well as other areas of interest to the Chapter members.
- Oversee graphics standards for all publications and communications.
- Establish marketing materials for all publications, communications, and membership information in conjunction with the Chapter Administrator and Graphic Designer, when applicable.
