LPA, Inc. is seeking an Interiors Project Designer responsible for collaborating and influencing a variety of Educational Projects, including both the K-12 and Higher Education Markets. As an Integrated Sustainable Design Firm, LPA’s talent includes experts from each discipline of Architecture, Planning, Landscape, Interiors, and Engineering. Our process offers a unique design environment with dynamic, passionate, creative and intelligent people with potential for professional development. You will:

  • Develop conceptual designs of interior environments in concert with an integrated design team
  • Actively participate in the implementation of design from the programming phase through construction
  • Demonstrate excellent client and team communications skills, be a conscientious listener who is collaborative, positive, responsive and proactive with motivation to learn and teach new skills
  • Be a results-oriented problem solver, with creativity and efficiency, able to prioritize a variety of tasks, projects and deadlines accordingly
  • Collaborate with various teams and designers to collectively understand the influences of space on behavior and the importance of learning space design while demonstrating an understanding for design philosophies and current trends
  • Participate in marketing opportunities and facilitate multi-discipline/office collaboration within the firm
  • Become a valued member of an engaging team environment where integration is essential to our process

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Professional Degree in Interior Design
  • Interior Design License and LEED AP preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the role of an Interiors Project Designer in a similar capacity preferred
  • Experience in all phases of Project Design; including programming, space planning and knowledge of materials, methods and detailing involved with construction documentation
