LA Design Tour: The Gamble House

On Saturday, January 10, the IIDA SoCal LA City Center hosted a design tour of the iconic Gamble House in Pasadena. Members and guests gathered for an immersive experience exploring one of the most celebrated examples of American Arts & Crafts architecture, designed by Greene & Greene in 1908. Attendees were guided through the historic residence by docents who shared detailed insights into the home’s architectural significance, handcrafted details, and enduring influence on residential design. From intricate woodwork and custom furniture to thoughtful spatial planning and material craftsmanship. Tour participants were able to examine details up close and gained a deeper appreciation for the level of artistry embedded in every aspect of the home.

The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation made this event a tremendous success and a meaningful opportunity for the design community to connect, learn, and experience an architectural landmark together.

Thank you to the Gamble House docents for their expertise and to the LA City Center Professional Development committee for organizing such a memorable event. Click here to see photos from the tour!
