OC NeOConnect 2013 Recap

What was your role in the planning/execution of the event?
This year I had the great pleasure of being the IIDA OCCC NeoConnect Event Chair along with Taleen Altounian of OfficeMax and Lisa Van Niekerk of Mohawk. It was such a great experience and we had the best support group we could ever ask for!

Tell us about the event. What were some of the highlights?
This year was another success. We love having our event at The Hangar @ The OC Fair Grounds. We are so spoiled in Southern CA and had beautiful weather that evening. We were able to leave the hangar doors wide open, which created a nice ambiance.

Tell us about some of the success of the event.
Other than a completely sold out event, we also donated over $2000 to two really great charities, Boys Hope Girls Hope and The Trevor Project. Along with the donations, we had a highly respectable panel of designers for our student portfolio review.
