Orange County 2025 Design Tour – Edwards Lifesciences

Last Thursday, our Orange County City Center Professional Development committee hosted an exclusive design tour of Edwards Lifesciences campus in Irvine, CA.

Edwards Lifesciences is an American medical technology company specializing in products for structural heart disease and critical care monitoring. The company develops and markets devices for minimally invasive and surgical heart valve repair and replacement, as well as hemodynamic monitoring devices.

Gensler and LPA, Inc. are two of the main A&D firms on campus and were present to answer questions about the building.

The Edwards campus expansion project is focused on developing a corporate campus centered on health and wellness and fostering creativity and innovation. The campus includes projects not limited to: a 1,200 stall parking structure with a 4,500 square foot green wall that is one of the largest of its kind in North America, an on site gym complete with a Peloton cycle room, a 3-story lab/office building, many outdoor plazas and courtyards, a full service dining facility, a state of the art conferencing center, on site pickleball courts, and a museum showcasing the company’s history in medical devices.
