Darcy Royalty

Darcy Royalty leads HKS Los Angeles Interiors as the Regional Interior Design Director and Principal.

Darcy’s broad experience encompasses a variety of market sectors including Workplace, Life Science, Sports + Entertainment, Higher Education and Justice/ Civic. This expansive experience has enabled Darcy to finely hone her design aesthetic and skills as well as develop the unique ability to truly align the design outcome to her client’s culture, brand, requirements, budget, schedule and expectations. Darcy is a strong client advocate and believes in creating authentic and sincere spaces that intuitively connect to the occupants.  She champions a collaborative, iterative and inclusive design process, striving for transformative spaces for all inhabitants. and believes in outcome driven design that exceeds client expectations by using ingenuity and innovation to achieve design excellence.

Darcy has the proven ability to translate her client’s intentions into a designed reality that showcase places of choice, comfort and amenity. She has built a stellar reputation for creating beautiful, timeless, and appropriate spaces for corporate headquarters, entertainment venues, educational institutions and civic buildings that foster learning, productivity, collaboration, and pride.  Darcy has worked with several prestigious clients, including Disney, Google, City of Los Angeles, Amgen, ESRI, and the University of Southern California, and has led interior design teams and studios at local and global design firms such as DLR Group, Johnson Fain, and HOK.  She is a graduate of Kansas State University, where she received a BA in Interior Architecture, LEED accredited professional, and a licensed Interior Designer.
