Saddleback College @ATEP: Project Tour and Panel Recap

IIDA SoCal, alongside CoreNet, recently hosted a fantastic event at the new Saddleback College ATEP Campus, and we’re thrilled to share that it was a resounding success! With 99 attendees, the turnout was truly impressive, including 60 from CoreNet and 39 from IIDA.

The event kicked off with an exclusive tour of the cutting-edge campus, designed by Gensler, which is situated on the historic Tustin Marine Corps base. Attendees marveled at the advanced technology labs, flexible collaboration spaces, and unique indoor-outdoor classrooms.

Saddleback College@ATEP is a 50,000-square-foot instructional facility located in Tustin, CA, focusing on advanced technology and career technical training. Opening last fall, 2025, it features specialized training in culinary arts, with commercial kitchens and a restaurant, and advanced automotive technology with 14 lifts, a radar calibration lab, and classrooms. This facility is set to be a hub for students aspiring to excel in these fields.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the engaging panel discussion. Our esteemed panelists shared invaluable insights into the projects they are spearheading to help students excel in their fields. It was inspiring to learn how strategic industry partnerships and innovative design are playing pivotal roles in shaping the future of workforce development.
