San Diego’s Haute Couture Fashion Show – A Triumphant Return

The IIDA San Diego Haute Couture Fashion Show made a triumphant return to the House of Blues last Thursday. There was an electric energy as design team models revealed their fashion creations on the runway. This year’s theme was Terra: A Fashion Exploration of Earth’s Beauty and each team drew a different ecosystem at random and created their outfit solely out of materials they received at the fabric grab and the design materials from their sponsors.

The caliber of outfits was awe-inspiring and every team put forth a garment worthy of an award.

Thank you to Catherine McCullough, Tyler Wentworth, Laura Cain, Heather Geraghty, Natalia Worden and Eric Burger for being our judges and making the tough decision of which teams would bring home one of the six awards given that night. Congratulations to all of our teams for their outstanding creativity and collaboration!
