The 2023 San Diego Emerging Leaders Program

The primary goal of the San Diego Emerging Leaders Program is to provide intensive, small group workshops for young designers to grow exponentially and connect with each other. This program is geared toward design leaders who are growing from “doing” tasks to “leading” in their firms and in the industry. The curated program is comprised of 11 workshops taught by experts in the industry focusing on a new topic each month. Designers are required to attend all 11 workshops and actively participate. The in-person sessions create a network among peers in the design industry that help create lasting connections.

Some of the topics include business development, client communication, codes, credentials and exams, commercial real estate and our role as designers and the construction process, as well as many others. All past years’ emerging leaders have benefited greatly from the program and the principals of the firms that nominated them have also seen the benefits from the program.
