The 37th Annual Calibre Design Awards

The 37th Annual IIDA Southern California Chapter Calibre Design Awards, held on May 22, 2025, at the Pasadena Civic Center, was a night to remember. This prestigious black-tie event celebrated exceptional achievements and design excellence in commercial interior design across Southern California. Attendees gathered to honor the collaborative efforts that bring remarkable design innovations to life.

The evening commenced with the awards ceremony, where nominees and winners were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field. Special thank you to Abby Scott (@hdr_inc ) and Ronnie Belizaire (@hksarchitects ) for joining us to share their insight into the judging process while presenting the awards.

We heard from the VP’s of Student Affairs, Caroline Feran (@gensler_design ) Jill Potts (@interface_losangeles ) and Jimmy Arakelian (@environmentalcontracting ) who recognized the winning team from the Student Design Charette scholarship competition.

We were inspired by remarks from Cheryl Durst, Vice President and CEO of @iida_hq, who spoke on the transformative power of design.

The celebration continued with a seated dinner followed by dancing, providing an opportunity for attendees to unwind and celebrate.
