The 38th Annual Calibre Design Awards

The 38th Annual IIDA Southern California Chapter Calibre Design Awards, held on May 21, 2026, at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, was a night to remember. This prestigious gala event celebrated exceptional achievements and design excellence in commercial interior design across Southern California. Attendees gathered to honor the collaborative efforts that bring remarkable design innovations to life. 💫

The evening commenced with the awards ceremony, where the winning projects in each category were recognized for design excellence. Here is the full list of winning projects and the teams behind them.

We also recognized the student winners from the Best of Design and Student Design Charrette scholarship competitions, held earlier this year.

We were inspired by remarks from Cheryl Durst (@cheryldurst), Vice President and CEO of IIDA (@iida_hq), who spoke on the transformative power of design.

The celebration continued with a cocktail hour and seated dinner followed by dancing.

Attendees were invited to vote for People’s Choice during the event. Congratulations to the winner in the Unbuilt category: The Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown San Diego, nominated by AC Martin.

Thanks to everyone who donated to our first ever gala event raffle! We raised over $9,000 for our Outreach partner, A Sense of Home.

A big congratulations to all the winning teams, it was truly an exceptional year for design!
