The Center Club Celebrates its Grand Reopening

Earlier this year on January 31st The Center Club celebrated its Grand Re-opening and Annual Charity Classic Fundraiser which supports three Orange County located charities. The night celebrated the building’s $3 million renovation and grand opening which honored the Center Club Owner and Founder, Henry T. Segerstrom. The Center Club has long been known to provide not only social attractions, but technical business services as well. Careful planning preserved the Center Club’s traditional and social attractions while adding to their technical offerings as well.

The 16,000 square foot renovation was a collaboration between ClubCorp, Delawie Architecture and Howard Building Corporation (HBC).  “This was the first time that we had worked with Howard Building Corp. and it could not have gone any better,” said Center Club’s General Manager, Shahin Vosough. Because HBC had an understanding of the needs of the Center Club the project resulted in updated areas that balanced a traditional setting with modern applications. The renovated bar stood out as one eye catching area which now acts as a natural gathering point for members. Principal of HBC, Mike Howard, explained that the Center Club had a clear vision of what they were looking for in this renovation which made the project and the team involved feel connected to the final outcome.

Recent HBC projects include the 86,000 square foot Global Headquarters for Fox Head in Irvine, YouTube’s new state-of-the-art production facility in Playa Vista, and the construction kick-off of PIMCO’s new foot Global Headquarters in Newport Beach.
