Volunteer Day Across Two Locations with A Sense of Home
Last Saturday was such a special day volunteering with A Sense of Home alongside our IIDA community.
At the El Monte location, we spent the day curating vignettes for families impacted by the fires. It was amazing to see how something as simple as arranging furniture, layering in textiles, and adding thoughtful details could completely transform a space into something that feels safe, warm, and personal.

Over in Hawthorne, volunteers were busy building flat-packed furniture that will soon go into the homes of youth aging out of the foster care system. There was a lot of teamwork (and a few laughs along the way), but knowing these pieces will help create a fresh start for someone made it all so meaningful.

It was one of those days that reminds you why this community is so special—people showing up, working together, and using their skills to make a real impact. So grateful to everyone who was part of it.
