Charting the Year Ahead at Our Annual Board Meeting

On July 25, the IIDA Southern California Chapter Board of Directors gathered at the Burger Construction / Howard Building Corporation office in San Diego for our Annual Board Meeting.

The morning’s open session highlighted the incredible work and achievements across the Chapter, while Chapter Past President Robert Norwood recognized the Board for their leadership and service.

Emerging Leaders Program Chairs Sean Kim Nickerson and Amy Bonelli reflected on the program’s origins, sharing its evolution and celebrating key milestones from throughout the years.

Amanda Humphries received the award for Board Member of the Year due to her tireless efforts on the AB1796 campaign that aimed to bring Interior Design licensure to the state of California.

The afternoon marked the beginning of a new Board term as Chapter President Sonaly Dudheker led strategic planning workshops with the incoming Board. Joined by President Elect Sarah Geske, the Chapter’s leadership team is energized and ready for an exciting year ahead.
