SAC Health, one of the nation’s largest Federally Qualified Healthcare providers, recently acquired an existing 5-story (300,000 SF) commercial office building to convert into their new flagship clinical facility.
As the nation’s largest specialty-based and teaching health center, SAC Health is committed to providing health equity for underserved populations. The mission of the SAC Health System is to provide vulnerable populations with an environment for patient healing and community empowerment.
SAC Health hired BNB Builder and Perkins and Will to convert the old Wells Fargo Call Center into a new outpatient medical Office building.
This Adaptive Reuse, Design-Built project was delivered in just under 18 months from Schematic Design to Construction completion and was able to maintain almost all existing structure, thus reducing the carbon footprint of the construction.
The project is intentionally located near public transportation to provide easy access to community services. It includes a community resource center that provides counseling services and access to the computer lab for anyone in need.
